Wayne Mendezona, a.k.a. Coach Mendo, is a motivational speaker and passionate communicator!

For the past twenty-eight years, he has been a former professional/college basketball coach and current skill development trainer. He has trained and motivated over 40,000 young upstart athletes from youth to professional levels.
 
Wayne had the privilege of playing four years in the European pro leagues, three of those years in Germany and one in Austria. As a head professional/college coach, he had the opportunity to coach nineteen years, eleven at the college level and eight overseas, including being the national coach of Bahrain for two years and leading the team to compete in the Asian games Barcelona Olympic qualifier.
 
As a result of his passion and desire to do the extraordinary, Wayne has had the privilege of traveling and visiting over thirty different countries to date over the course of his playing and coaching career

CERTIFICATIONS AND MEMBERSHIPS:
As a result of these coaching achievements, Coach Mendo recently was certified as a FIBA-USA licensed coach. FIBA, the International Basketball Federation, is the world governing body for basketball. Coach Mendo is a member of an Exclusive Group of USA Coaches (only a little over 200 to date). Wayne is the author of four basketball training books and has produced six training DVDs. These training aids have circulated around the world.
 
OTHER PUBLICATIONS:
Wayne has compiled over fifty motivational newsletters and several inspirational YouTube videos that have challenged and inspired people all over the globe. Noted as the “King of Acronyms,” Wayne has personally compiled numerous motivational acronyms and mantras that he has used in motivational speeches around the world and in his success coaching programs.
 
EARLY LIFE:
Originally from Reno, Nevada, Wayne holds a Master’s of Divinity from Luther Rice Seminary (1990) and a Master’s in Sports Management (2002) from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Alabama.
 
PERSONAL LIFE:
He lives in the Seattle area with his wife of over thirty years. Wayne continues to own and operate Quick Handle Basketball (to visit click this link Quickhandle.com, one of the largest summer basketball camp training programs in the United States.
